Researchers have grounded more about how mosquitoes discover hide odor, and they say their findings could front to better repellants and traps. Mosquitoes are attracted to our derma odor and to the carbon dioxide we exhale. Previous scrutiny found that mosquitoes have special neurons that franchise them to detect carbon dioxide hgher club. Until now, however, scientists had not pinpointed the neurons that mosquitoes use to learn of coat odor.

The new lucubrate found that the neurons used to detect carbon dioxide are also worn to identify skin odor. This means it should be easier to note ways to block mosquitoes' facility to zero in on people, according to the study's authors full report. The findings appeared in the Dec 5, 2013 edition of the diary Cell.
